Brewfest is an Oktoberfest-style holiday celebrating beer that runs from September 20th until October 3rd. The minimum practical level to experience all that it has to offer is lv 75, though with the help of a guild or friends a lv 40 character could manage it. Several small pets (Pink Elekks, Wolpertingers); beer-themed mounts (Rams, Kodo); flavor clothes (Brewfest Hats, Dresses, Shoes); alcohol; kegs; events; titles (Brewmaster); achievements; feats of strength, and holiday bosses are available during the holiday. Even the King of the Gnomes will show up every few hours for the tapping of the keg ceremony!

Every time a new patch is announced I always predict that two things will be added: an instance version of the Tower of Althalaxx, and also Tuskarr as a playable Alliance race. As Northrend introduced Tuskarr in some form, I’m giving myself half a point for that. With the announcement of Cataclysm, I decided to go all out and go ahead and announce the Tower of Althalaxx as a playable dungeon. While Blizzard hasn’t commented on this one way or the other, I believe it’s only a matter of time before the inevitable happens.
